Selection for Cover Page rotation
Each accepted poem of no more than 20 lines will automatically be considered for inclusion in the Poem of the Day rotation on our site Cover Page. Each included poem will be on the cover page for a day, then again after a set interval of days (depending on how many poems we have in the rotation set), and so on until the next issue goes up. For the duration of Issue 2, there are 15 poems in the cover-page set.

Submit Online

This online form submission method has advantages and limitations. It works well for shorter submissions without too many complexities of formatting. You will receive a confirming email which will show your formatted submission exactly as received (provided you’re set up to read HTML mail, otherwise you’ll see the plain-text version).

               Be sure this is correct!

Copy the text from your Word document (or other source) and paste it into the box below. Line and paragraph breaks will be preserved (if not, you can adjust with the Enter/Delete keys) but formatting such as italics and bold is not preserved. If there are just a few instances of such formatting, you can reapply it in the form, using basic HTML tags. (Use the link below for information on bsic formatting.) Do not insert HTML code for paragraph or line breaks; it should be sufficient to ensure that breaks are visually correct, with a double break between stanzas, strophes or paragraphs.

It won’t matter whether your poem title or other heading is in bold type or not. And you shouldn’t need to worry about special characters like accented letters, em dashes, or curly apostrophes and quotes. If you’ve used them, and you paste your text in below, they should come through fine. If you haven’t used them, we’ll fix those details for any submission we accept.

Send me an email message confirming my submission
If you are set up to read formatted (HTML) mail, the message will show your submission exactly as received. If you read mail only in plain text, the confirmation will show the text and line breaks as submitted, but formatting such as italics will be absent and special characters such as quotes and em dashes may not appear correctly even though we received them correctly.
